Our STORY
A Journey Through Craft & Culture
Our Story
Founded in 1997 by designer Christopher Noto, Noto Atelier is an international design studio based in Paris and New York, creating bespoke furniture, lighting, and objets d’art for private clients and leading design professionals worldwide. Formerly known as Pagoda House and Elan Atelier, the studio is recognized for its craftsmanship, material refinement, and timeless design language.
Rooted in the dialogue between traditional making and contemporary design, each piece is created with respect for time honored techniques. Noto Atelier’s work reflects a quiet confidence — pieces that feel at home in both modern and classical interiors, designed to last for generations.
With decades of experience across Europe, Southeast Asia, and the United States, the atelier collaborates with architects, designers, and brands such as Jaya Ibrahim, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Roche Bobois, Holly Hunt, Four Seasons, and Aman. From a single custom commission to complete collections, Noto Atelier brings together craft, culture, and design integrity to create work of lasting distinction.
Our Vision
We believe that luxury should be personal, purposeful, and enduring. Our vision is to bridge the worlds of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design, offering a slower, more thoughtful form of luxury.
Every piece we create is designed with integrity — balancing artistry with function and innovation with heritage. By preserving time-honored techniques while exploring new materials and ideas, we deliver designs that are both timeless and forward-thinking.
Our goal is simple: to help you create spaces that inspire, elevate, and reflect who you are. Whether it’s a single statement piece or an entire interior, we approach every project with passion, precision, and a deep respect for the craft — so that what we create with you today will be cherished for generations.
