The Helios Mirror is clad in straw marquetry, a centuries-old French technique the studio holds dear. Hundreds of slim straws are split, flattened, and hand-laid in panels until the surface catches light differently from every angle. The shifts are subtle, the effect close to watered silk.
Available in shades of natural, amber, champagne, and grey, or in any combination on commission. The wood substrate is hand-finished and sealed; the mirror is set within the marquetry frame so the straw, not the glass, leads the eye.
